Why join one church?
Did you know that Jesus didn't die just to redeem us as individuals? He also died to gather us together into a new spiritual family -- the Church. In fact, the entire New Testament was written to and for local churches -- specific groups of people who knew one another, cared for one another, and followed Christ together. This is why the pages of the New Testament are filled with so many "one another" commands:

Love one another. Forgive one another. Bear one another's burdens.

At Redemption, membership helps us put real names and faces to these "one another" commands. God has clearly designed the Christian life to be lived within a specific local church family. Membership is how we say: I'm a part of this family.
How do I join?
First and foremost, it's important that any potential member is a fully committed follower of Jesus Christ -- trusting in him alone for salvation and eager to follow him in all of life. If that's not quite you -- if you're still exploring Christianity -- that's okay! Take all the time you need to explore Christianity with us. You are always welcome here. But if you are a committed Christian and you'd like to join Redemption, here are the next steps:
1.
Take the membership class, offered multiple times a year in a half-day format.
2.
Touch base with an elder to share your story and discuss any questions.
3.
Go public with your faith by getting baptized (if you haven't already).
4.
Receive a warm welcome during our next members meeting.
God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
