What is our philosophy behind student small groups?

The structure of our student small groups is loosely modeled after our adult small groups. We feel confident that this age group also values spending time with their peers, learning more about Jesus Christ, and preparing for their lives as adult disciples. Because of this model, we do not use a specific curriculum like we do in children's Sunday School. Instead, we focus on the Scripture preached that very same Sunday (so it is fresh in their minds) and how this teaches us more about God and how these young adults can apply it to their lives.

We hold to the same tension that our adult small groups do, prioritizing the following four values for our students:

  1. The Word

  2. Community

  3. Prayer

  4. Mission

Our hope is that these young adults will become young disciples and eventually, young disciple-makers!
